Had a fantastic time at Tanamera Paintball on Sunday (no website, you can check out its facebook group). It's located somewhere in Sungai Buloh, and it was going to be a near whole-day paintball affair.
The morning started off with a few of us grabbing dim sum over at SS2.
Then it was time to make our way to Tanamera by 10am, to register ourselves, and grab our gear. The rate is really quite cheap, RM95 for all your gear, marker, and 500 pellets. And you get unlimited playing time on all their field. We played from 10am - 5pm.
This was only my second time playing, and this experience turned out to be way better than the previous time over at the Subang paintball field.
There are just so many fields to play on, with different scenarios. On Sunday, it was a 29 vs 21 affair, me being on the 29-person team, and we really got wiped out by the 21-person team. The first field was the Vietcong Village, with the two teams having to secure their two jeeps and then attempting to infiltrate the other team's jeep by touching it. I charged up the hill and got hit by a headshot within like the first minute. I didn't even see the other team! We played on five different field altogether, all in the jungle-ish area. There was a capture the flag around a lake, complete with oil palm trees for cover. Then we had to storm a village house, but taking care not to be picked off by the snipers hidden in the bushes and in the house. The Jungle Warfare had the two teams hunting each other quietly through a thick jungle area. I got taken out by a person lying on the ground, completely camouflaged in the bushes.
Found a recent youtube video featuring some of the scenarios at Tanamera.
I will definitely head back there. But my legs are right now aching so badly after Sunday's game. All my friends are complaining that they had difficulty getting out of bed and that they are walking around like ducks. We shouldn't have been so gungho about throwing ourselves into the ditches and all. Next time, I am investing in some cheap camo wear, and possibly grab some knee pads as well.
Let me just add a map to the place:
And to quote from the e-mail from my friend, Lynn:
Directions:
Take the NKVE (the highway that passes in front of One Utama, the Curve, etc) towards Sungai Buloh. After the toll (RM1.60 btw), take the left exit heading for Sungai Buloh. Warning- the Sungai Buloh turnoff is a bit confusing- it seems to suddenly appear but there’s a U-turn up ahead. Then basically you go straight down the road for approximately 8km and turn left at the junction that with the red sign that reads “Tanamera”.
What to wear:
Army camo gear. Failing which, dark (or army camouflage) long sleeved t-shirt, dark long pants (track pants or cargo pants will do), and hiking boots or sports shoes. Don't wear your nicest pair of sports shoes, they are going to get muddied and the soles might drop off. You may also want to bring along a cap and/or bandanna.
Do bring:
A change of clothes, water and/or 100-plus, mosquito repellant (a must-have! Layer on that mosquito repellant!)

Great game. I haven't got chance to play it. It must be very interesting and excited.
By the way, you article is now published in www.elawyer.com.my/blog
Oiks. Its RM 85 for mask, pellets and marker. The extra RM10 is for the optional (ahem) bulletproof vest.
